Keep your Dragon Ball Super PVC figures like Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta and Goku Black in top condition with practical cleaning and display advice.
Quick answer
To keep your Dragon Ball Super PVC figures looking their best, clean them gently with a soft brush and display them away from direct sunlight and dust sources.
Why PVC figures need special care
PVC is a durable but porous material that can attract dust and oils from handling. Over time, exposure to sunlight can cause fading, and dust buildup in crevices can dull the paint. Regular, gentle maintenance prevents these issues without damaging the figure.
Common display mistakes to avoid
Avoid placing figures near windows or under direct sunlight, as UV rays can cause yellowing or fading. Also, keep them away from heat sources like radiators, which can warp the PVC. Open shelving is fine but requires more frequent dusting.
Diagnosis and care steps
- Symptom: Dust or grime visible on the figure, especially in creases or joints.
- Likely cause: Open display environment, handling with unwashed hands, or infrequent cleaning.
- Corrective action: Use a soft, dry makeup brush or a clean paintbrush to gently dust the figure. For stubborn spots, lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with water (no soap) and dab the area. Dry immediately. If the figure has painted battle damage (like the Vegeta model), do not scrub. Stop and use only a dry brush.
