Quick answer
Choose the Pikachu HB Pencil Set for classic sketching and schoolwork with a built-in sharpener, or opt for the Kanto Starters Gel Pen Set if you need smooth, quick-dry ink and a variety of character designs for daily writing.
Why the Pencil Set Shines for Traditional Work
The Pikachu 12-Piece HB Pencil Set includes 12 pencils with matching yellow eraser caps and a pencil sharpener, making it a complete solution for anyone who prefers the feel of a wooden pencil. The vibrant Pikachu designs add a fun touch to school or office supplies, and the durable wood ensures smooth writing without frequent breakage.
Why the Gel Pen Set Excels for Modern Writing
The Pokémon Kanto Starters Gel Pen Set offers five press-type pens with 0.5mm fine tips and quick-dry black ink, ideal for journaling, note-taking, or any task requiring neat, smudge-free lines. Each pen features a different starter Pokémon—Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Psyduck—adding variety to your desk. The soft silicone grip with wavy texture makes long writing sessions more comfortable.
Trade-Offs to Consider
The pencil set is better for erasable work and comes with a sharpener, but the pencils lack the vibrant color variety of the gel pens. The gel pens offer smooth, consistent ink flow and a comfortable grip, but you cannot erase mistakes. If you need both erasability and color variety, neither set covers both perfectly—though the pencil set includes a sharpener, which the pens do not.
Trade-offs: Pencil Set vs Gel Pen Set
- Writing feel: Pencils offer a classic, erasable experience; gel pens provide smooth, consistent ink flow.
- Variety: Pencil set has one character design (Pikachu) repeated 12 times; gel pen set has five different character designs.
- Extras: Pencil set includes a sharpener; gel pen set does not include any extra accessories. If you need a sharpener, the pencil set saves you an extra purchase.
